At KamHost, simplicity has always been at the heart of the Hepsia Control Panel experience — whether you’re looking after one website or an entire server’s worth of them.
For KamHost clients running Hepsia on a VPS or Dedicated Server, the panel also makes it possible to set up individual hosting accounts and hand them out to other people. In practice, that means a server no longer has to serve only its owner’s own sites and projects. Idle server capacity can be repurposed into hosting accounts for customers, acquaintances, or business partners — easing the monthly server bill and opening the door to extra revenue.
Some years back, KamHost rolled out the ability to add as many as 5 supplementary Hepsia accounts beneath a VPS or Dedicated Server. The response was enthusiastic. Certain customers began reselling hosting services through these accounts, while others simply used them to give friends, clients, or standalone projects their own separate spaces.
Now, KamHost is rolling out two significant enhancements that push this capability further still: the Hepsia Accounts API and the ability to buy additional Hepsia accounts. Combined, these changes hand server owners considerably more freedom to build and scale their own hosting offerings on top of Hepsia.
Introducing the Hepsia Accounts API
The Hepsia Accounts API ranks among the most eagerly awaited additions to KamHost’s account management toolset.
It offers a clean method for linking Hepsia account management with practically any billing platform. Customers who wish to sell hosting accounts from their VPS or Dedicated Server are no longer tied to handling those accounts by hand inside Hepsia. Instead, they can hook up their billing solution of choice and weave account management directly into their own sales and customer management processes.
To make the API easier to work with, KamHost has also introduced an API Explorer. It lays out thorough details on every available API command — its parameters included — along with hands-on examples of how each one can be used. Customers can browse the available functions, try out different commands, and come away with a far clearer picture of how to fold Hepsia account management into their own configuration.
What’s more, the API Explorer lets customers attach an AI agent and handle their Hepsia accounts through a chat interface, simplifying day-to-day account management even further.
For anyone aiming to run a more automated hosting business around their server, the new API delivers the flexibility to pair Hepsia with whichever billing and management tools suit them best.
Hepsia Accounts Upgrade
Next to the new API, KamHost is also delivering another much-requested capability: the option to buy additional Hepsia accounts.
Previously, customers were capped at 5 supplementary accounts per server. That ceiling was plenty for many users. But as more customers turned to the feature to offer hosting services, KamHost started fielding requests to lift the limit or make extra accounts purchasable.
That choice is now live.
Customers can buy additional Hepsia accounts in blocks of 50 for a mere $5.00/month at wholesale pricing — working out to just $0.10 per month for each additional Hepsia account.
By way of comparison, a single cPanel account can run upwards of $2.00 per month, even after volume discounts are factored in.
The new upgrade leaves customers ample room to grow. They can begin with the 5 accounts their server already includes and add more only once their hosting business starts to expand.
A Strong Selling Point for Your Server Portfolio
These two updates make the reseller hosting opportunity built into Hepsia considerably more compelling.
For KamHost’s reseller partners, this amounts to another handy selling point when pitching VPS and Dedicated Server solutions. A customer might originally need a server purely for their own purposes, but Hepsia lets them put unused resources to work. Even a handful of hosting customers can help chip away at the monthly server fee, while a growing customer base can transform the same server into an additional revenue stream.
Put another way, KamHost customers aren’t just getting a server and an easy-to-use control panel — they’re also getting the tools to launch their own small hosting business alongside whatever they originally bought the server for.
KamHost will keep expanding Hepsia and its reseller capabilities, giving both customers and partners more flexibility in how they use and sell our server solutions.
